VRChat/Unity Ready Kobold Avatar

NEW Kobold Kreator!

A new way for you to easily customize your own Kobold for VRChat! Just install the KoboldKreatorImporter.unitypackage to your Unity!

Toggle clothing options, skin textures, colors, and add your own iconography.

Kreator Usage instructions:

Steps to upload a customized VRChat kobold:

• 1. Get Unity from instructions here: https://docs.vrchat.com/docs/setting-up-the-sdk
• 2. Get Dynamic Bones: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/animation/dynamic-bone-16743
• 3. Get VRChat SDK 2.0 (NOT 3.0): https://vrchat.com/home/download
• 4. Get Substance Unity Plugin: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/utilities/substance-in-unity-110555
• 5. Ensure your Scripting Runtime Version is

• 6. Install Dynamic Bones, VRChat SDK,Substance Plugin, and then the KoboldKreatorImporter.unitypackage into your Unity project. (Order matters!)
• 7. Open the scene Assets/Kobold/Scenes/KreateAKobold.unity, then hit play!
• 8. Edit the Kobold to your desires, then hit the Export button on the last page.
• 9. Stop play mode, then create a new empty scene. Find the Kobold prefab that was generated within Assets/Resources.
• 10. Drag the KoboldPrefab into the scene, then upload it via the VRChat SDK build panel!
• 11. Switch to Android platform in the build settings (File->Build Settings...)
• 12. Disable the PC kobold, copy the Avatar ID to the Quest kobold, and upload the quest avatar as an update!
• 13. Done! Check out your avatar in VRChat!

Be aware that this model uses Dynamic Bones in Unity, which isn't included in this package.

VRChat Installation Instructions

First you should  install dependencies: Substance Plugin, Dynamic Bone, and the VRChat SDK.

Then install the Kobold unitypackage by hitting Assets->Import Package->Custom Package, then browsing to the PinkKobold.unitypackage file.

Double click on the Kobold unity scene to open it, it's found in the PinkKobold folder.

The two kobold variants can be found in that scene, already ready to upload.

Simply login to the VRChat SDK, then open the build control panel to upload them to your account.

License

You're welcome to wear this Kobold in VRChat, edit it, use it in animations/games, and share it with your friends. But please don't publicly post, sell, or give it to strangers!
